Mr. and Mrs. William Daniel Newsome of Evans are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Annette, to Walter Lee Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwin Johnson of Thomson. The wedding is planned for June 23, 2007, at 6 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church of Augusta.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Eugene and Emmabel Meeks and the late Hugh and Mildred Newsome, all of Warrenton. She is a graduate of Curtis Baptist High School and Augusta State University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of business administration in marketing. She is employed by Augusta VAH Federal Credit Union as marketing manager.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Walter and Ruby Patrick of Thomson and the late Charlie Lee and Allie Johnson of Waycross. He is a graduate of Briarwood Academy and Georgia Southern University where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor of business administration in management. He is employed as the vice president of Chardan, Ltd.
