THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Mae Franklin, of Thomson, were held Monday February 26, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Springfield Baptist Church, Rev. Fredrick D. Favors, Pastor, officiating. Interment was in Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery. Wake services were held from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday. Survivors are: two children, Sadie F. Lindsey, Thomson, Willie ( Mattie) Franklin, Warrenton; foster children; Elsie Webb, Augusta, Tiffany Walker, Thomson, Jerry Johnson, and Tony Johnson both of Atlanta, Lonzie Dozier, Augusta, Dennis Wheeler, Thomson ; One sister Cleo (Pete) Wallace, Columbus, OH,; three sisters-in-law Lula Bell Dozier, Norwood, Donnie Franklin, and Virginia Lewis both of Decatur; Special friend Ms. Vinnie Robinson; 23 grand-children, 43 great grand children, 15 great, great grand children, and host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
