THOMSON, Ga. -- Mrs. Phyllis McGehee Montgomery, 67, beloved wife of Mr. Floyd A. Montgomery, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at her residence.
Graveside services were held Friday, February 25, 2005 in the Westview Cemetery with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating.
Mrs. Montgomery was a native of Buckhead, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Thomson First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Virginia McGehee and by Floyd and Beck Montgomery.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd A. Montgomery, Thomson; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Darlene Montgomery, Marietta; and six grandchildren, Jessica Borgerding, Marietta of Kennesaw State University, Brandon Montgomery, Atlanta of Georgia Tech, Nick Montgomery Marietta of Young Harris College, Haylie Montgomery, Chris Rose and Jake Montgomery, all of Marietta.
Honorary Pallbearers were members of the Leroy Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Thomson First Baptist Church Family Life Center.
