THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Ethelyne Jackson Beckum, 98, of Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation, entered into rest Feb. 28, 2004 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
She was the beloved wife of the late Bert Beckum and the daughter of the late Percy Jackson and the late Irene Foster Jackson.
Survivors include nephews, Warren Jackson, Warrenton, Larry Askew, Waynesboro, Billy Smith, North Augusta; nieces, Sue McKinney, Martinez, Murray Beckum, Thomson, Maudelyne Sumrow, Lamonte, Ill., Irene Dwelle, Douglasville, Ga. and Margaret Beckum, Thomson.
Mrs. Beckum lived in Sparta, Ga., most of her life but had lived in Thomson for 10 years. Mrs. Beckum was retired as a dietician from Sparta High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Thomson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Milton Dwelle and Rev. Brian Davis officiating. Interment was in The Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hancock County.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
