WARRENTON, Ga.- Mr. Floyd "Peanut" Land, 70, beloved husband of Mrs. Margaret W. Land, of Wiggins Road, died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 in the Medical College of Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 3, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop George Nichols and Mr. Doug Grimes officiating. Burial was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Land was retired from the Mobile Home Industry after 40 years. He was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge #982. The family said he was a good husband and good father.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret W. Land, Warrenton; his daughter, Ree Smallwood, Warrenton; his son, Allen Land, Warrenton; his sister, Sara Wilkinson, Thomson; one special aunt, Clemmie Mahaffey, Willford, S.C.; and five grandchildren, Shae Smallwood, Zakk Smallwood, Jordan Land, Shelby Land and Tanner Land.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Pilgrim, Hugh Hobbs, David Harper, Greg Johnson, Donald Palmer and Lauren English. Honorary Pallbearers were Bobby Williams, Bill Harper, Lee Griffin, Dwayne Cowins, Roger Burton and Marvin Norman.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
