Mrs. Nan Howell Ray

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Mrs. Nan Howell Ray, 79, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Warrenton, entered into rest March 2, 2008, at her residence.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Sallie Hill Cemetery in Warrenton with Rev. Jeanette Purvis officiating.

Mrs. Ray was born in Waycross, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Wendell Howell and the late Alma Taylor Howell. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Warrenton.

Survivors include a son: Charlie Ray, Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchild: Melinda Berber-Ray, Germany. She was preceded in death by her son William Michael Ray.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
