Thomson Presbyterian Church plans annual Mission Conference

"Christ Our Guiding Light" is the theme of the 33rd annual Mission Conference at Thomson Presbyterian Church, which begins Sunday, March 10, and runs through Wednesday, March 14.

"Please plan to attend and invite others. Come see what God is doing around the world and in Thomson," Pat Eick said.

According to Mrs. Eick, the guest speaker will be the Reverend Frank van Dalen, the executive director of World Witness. Other guests will be John Linville of PEF Ministry, Dave McNeill of Wycliffe Bible Translators, the Reverend Steve Walden of Slavic Missionary Service, Mike Kuhn of Arab World Ministries, Rupert Leary of Campus Outreach, Jim and Ellen Wroughton of MTW/Wycliffe in Peru and Georffrey and Christine Fogus, the assistant District Attorney in Augusta who is a World Witness candidate.

Youth activities throughout the week will be led by Manny and Eleanor Knaus, who are retired from HIM Ministries. The Reverend Bob and Pat Eick will minister to children in first through fifth grades.

Mrs. Eick said a covered dish lunch will be served after the Sunday morning worship service. Breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and lunch will be served at noon each day.

The conference will conclude with a Mission Banquet at 6 p.m., Wednesday. The church is located at 607 Jackson Street in Thomson. For more info call 706-595-4652.
