Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy D. Plunkett of Thomson are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsey Danae Plunkett, to Tripp Goodwin of Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Goodwin of Grovetown. The wedding is planned for May 26, 2007, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marianne Whitaker and the late C.W. "Whit" Whitaker and Joe and Edyth Plunkett. She is a 2004 graduate of Thomson High School and is currently a junior at Augusta State University pursuing a degree in early childhood education.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late L.M. and Frances Crawford and Thomas and Doris Goodwin. He is a 1999 graduate of Augusta Christian School and a 2004 graduate of Columbia International University. He is currently employed by Berea Baptist Church as the pastoral assistant.
