THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Nellie Reese Day, 96, of Thomson, entered into rest March 4, 2007, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late M. W. "Buddie" Day.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Peter Strals officiating.
Mrs. Day was born in Warren County and was the daughter of the late Jonas R. Reese and the late Lillie Farr Reese. She was a homemaker and was the oldest living member of Mesena United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Vylene Day Purvis and her husband Herbert Purvis of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Jan Keith, Jay Holland, Jennifer Cook and Bert Purvis; seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Day was preceded in death by a daughter Nina Day Holland.
