O'Kussick named new manager at Thomson Tractor Supply Co. Store

Beth O'Kussick has been named store manager at the new Thomson Tractor Supply Co. store, according to District Manager John McClain.

Ms. O'Kussick joined Tractor Supply Co. as a team member in Lexington, S.C., in 2002. She was promoted to assistant manager in 2004. Prior to joining Tractor Supply Co., she served in a managerial capacity for Central Tractor.

"We are excited to have Beth join our leadership team," said Mr. McClain. "Her managerial experience will be a great asset to this store."

In her new position, Ms. O'Kussick will oversee all store operations including receiving, inventory control, merchandising, as well as customer relations and team member relations.

Contractors chosen for Thomson Co.

The Industrial Development Authority voted last week to approve Thomson-based construction company Two State and Augusta-based engineering firm Johnson, Laschober and Associates to begin on some stabilization work at the old Thomson Company site.

Two State and JLA were the low bidders on the $800,000 design-build project that will repair leaky roofs and shore up some sagging buildings. The Authority hopes once the work is complete, the buildings can be used for a variety of tenants and possibly attract new manufacturing operations to the area.
