Mr. Edward Hosea Blount

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Edward Hosea Blount, 89, of Thomson, died Sunday, February 26, 2006.

He was the son of Edward H. and Nina T. Blount. He was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and the University of Georgia. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Savannah, past president of the Georgia Unit of Wally Bryan Caravan Club and traveled extensively with that group and was a Mason.

Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. John Finley officiating. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery, Waynesboro, Georgia.

Mr. Blount was preceded in death by his wife Betty J. Blount. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Percy and Sandra Blount of Thomson, and two daughters and sons-in-law, Claudia and Tom Litton of Cumming, and Barbara and Don Rupert of Edgefield, South Carolina. In addition he is survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The family request that any memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Savannah, 223 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401.

Funeral arrangements were conducted by DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home.
