Staff Sergeant (Retired) Charlie J. Shank TAMPA, Fla. -- Graveside services for Staff Sergeant (Retired) Charlie J. Shank of Tampa, Fla., were held Saturday, March 5, 2005, 4 p.m. at Shank Family Cemetery in Thomson with Rev. Fred Favors officiating. His memories shall linger in the lives of those he touched and loved. Survivors include his wife Evelyn and their combined union of nine children, Edward (Gwendolyn), Regina (Thomas), Los Angeles, Cal., Crystal, Todd, Janice (Eric), Lori (Victor), Shelia, Phillip (Marie) of Forest City, Arkansas and Keith (Helen); 33 grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Willie Mae Collins and Alice Shank, Thomson; two brothers-in-law, Louis Valdez, Jr. and Mike Shields.
