Mr. Herbert G. Newsome THOMSON, Ga. -- Mr. Herbert G. Newsome, 63, of Thomson, entered into rest Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at McDuffie County Hospital. Mr. Newsome was a lifelong resident of the Augusta area and was an automobile mechanic. Mr. Newsome was a family man that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he will be greatly missed. Graveside services were held Monday, March 7, 2005 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Kelly McKnight officiating. Survivors are three sons: Tommy Gordon Newsome, Randy Lee Newsome, and John Wayne Newsome, all of Augusta and three daughters; Patricia Ann Weeks of Augusta, Tammy Marie Joslyn of Waynesboro and Rachel Marie Weeks of Waynesboro and a grandson; Roy Newsome of Waynesboro and one brother, Douglas S.
