The public is invited to a "Rock-A-Thon" fundraiser in Thomson Saturday to raise money for the Georgia Sheriff Youth Homes.
Kristen Rivers representing the Key Club addressed the Thomson Kiwanis Club Monday and described the fundraiser.
"Rock" refers to rocking chairs and persons are sponsored to rock at the Depot Annex from 2-5 p.m. Saturday to raise funds for the foster homes for mentally and physically abused kids in Georgia. Movies and videos will be shown during the event.

During their meeting Monday, Thomson Kiwanis pledged $350 for the event in honor of McDuffie County Sheriff Logan Marshall.
