THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Thelma M. Hollis, age 82, of Thomson, died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at the Thomson Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness.
She was a native of Coffee County but, had lived in Thomson since 1973. Thelma was the daughter of the late Leonard C. Music and Belle Johnson Music and was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hollis; a daughter, Latrelle White; three brothers Elmer, Felton and L.C. Music and two sisters, CeElla Mitchell and Inez Cain. She was of the Church of God Faith.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Hollis and wife, Rosie, of Thomson and Brad Barber and wife, Melissa of Atlanta; three daughters, Shirley Jenkins, Debbie Neal and husband, Keith and Donna Brabham, all of Thomson. Nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.
Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Denny Music and Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were B.J. Hollis, Jason Neal, Shane Jenkins, Brian Brabham, Jeffrey Brabham, Tyler Key, Jerry Music, and Keith Neal. All those in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
