THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Earl N. Arrington, 85, beloved husband of Mrs. Maudie M. Arrington, died Friday, March 10, 2006, in the Warrenton Health & Rehab Center.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 12, in the Thomson Church of God, with Rev. Bobby Farmer and Doug Butts officiating. Burial was in the Westview Cemetery.
Mr. Arrington was a native of Jefferson County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was a retired brick mason and a member of the Thomson Church of God. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, having served with the 3rd Army in the 80th Division Field Artillery. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Leslie Arrington.
He is survived by his wife, Maudi M. Arrington, Thomson; two daughters, Judy Butts, Gibson, and Dianne Arrington, Thomson; his two sons, Rodney Arrington, Thomson and Neil Arrington, Ashboro, N.C.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
