HIAWASSEE, Ga. - Mrs. Virginia Landrum Thigpen, 81, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2006, in Hiawassee.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 14, at 3 p.m. at the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, Thomson, with burial in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Thigpen was born in Glascock County, Ga., on June 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Farris and Lillie Williams Landrum. She was the wife of the late Samuel A. Thigpen and resided in Thomson for 38 years. Mrs. Thigpen was retired and lived with her daughter in Hiawassee.
She is survived by her daughter, Ollie Dean Connor, Hiawassee; a son, Raymond Thigpen, Hiawassee; two grandchildren, Dewayne and Jeff Reeves of Phoenix, Ariz.; one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Reeves, Columbus.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
