Mr. Detroit (Simp) Hobbs DEARING, Ga. -- The funeral for Mr. Detroit (Simp) Hobbs, 81 of Dearing, was held on Friday, March 11, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Poplar Head Baptist Church, Dearing, Rev. David Lowe, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Survivors are wife, Mrs. Leona Hobbs, Dearing; seven children, Catherine Ivey, Thomson, TroyMcNair, Thomson, Mabel Robinson, Dearing, Jamie Hobbs, Dearing, Christine Hobbs, Dearing, Marie Hobbs, Dearing and Priscilla McNair, Glascock County; one sister, Lula Samuels, Augusta; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
