Kennon Jessica Jackson and Christopher L. Rushing were united in marriage on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Fort Creek Baptist Church in Dearing at 2 p.m. The Rev. Phil Bray officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Robin M. Johnson of Warrenton and Mr. Ken Jackson of Augusta. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Holton of Gibson and Mrs. Betty Jackson of LaGrange. The bride is a graduate of Glascock County High School and is currently attending Augusta Technical College.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Donna Walden of Dearing and Mr. Derrell Rushing of Warrenton. He is the grandson of Mrs. Avis McGahee of Dearing and Mrs. Irene Rushing of Thomson. The groom is a graduate of Glascock County High School and is currently employed at Fort Gordon.
Escorted by her father, the bride was given in marriage by her parents. The maid of honor was Miss Carla Mock, sister of bride. Bridesmaids were Hollie Rushing, sister of the groom, Morgan Lamb and Shelly Smith, friends of the bride. Flower girl was Miss Victoria Griswell, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Master Aaron Johnson, brother of the bride.
The groom chose his father, Mr. Derrell Rushing as his best man. Groomsmen were Travis Whitaker, cousin of the groom, Jamie Spear and Brent Williford, friends of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall. The couple spent their honeymoon in Savannah. They are residing in Dearing.
