Mr. William "Bill" Kemp, Jr.

GIBSON, GA - Mr. William "Bill" Kemp, Jr., 48 of Gibson, entered into rest March 14, 2008.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Thomas Ghann and Wayne Ghann officiating. Interment followed in Faith Memorial Gardens in Madison.

Pallbearers were the Glascock County High School Coaches. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Glascock County High School football team.

Mr. Kemp was born in Kingsville, Tex., but lived in Glascock County for the past 25 years. He was a 1977 graduate of Southeast Bullock High School, former Glascock County Recreation Dept. Coach and was a Glascock County High School Assistant Football Coach. Mr. Kemp was a former Cub Scout Leader and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Madison.

Survivors include his wife: Angie Sturdivant Kemp - Gibson; two sons: William F. Kemp, III - Lakewood, NJ., and Andrew Chandler Kemp - Gibson; father: William F. Kemp, Sr. - Portal, Ga.; mother: Anne H. Kemp - Portal, Ga.; brothers: Bob Kemp (Sheila) - Portal, Ga., and SSGT Jeffrey T. Kemp (Tammy) - Ft. Riley, Kansas; sister- Ginny Kemp - Beaufort, SC; paternal grandmother: Anne Lee Kemp - Jacksonville, Fla.; sister-in-law: Gail Norris (Eugene) - Warrenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Bill Kemp Memorial Fund c/o Habersham Bank 189 Legion Dr. Warrenton, GA 30828

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
