Diamond Dogs continue season

The Thomson varsity baseball team got off to a solid start this season. In games through March 17, the team posted a 6-1 record. The Diamond Dogs have two convincing wins over Jefferson County, 10-0 on March 3 and 9-2 on March 8.

They also defeated Glascock County twice, 7-0 on March 9 and 10-2 on March 14. Thomson beat Lakeside 8-3 on March 6 and Washington-Wilkes 14-6 on March 17. The team's lone loss so far came in a 2-8 finish at Burke County on March 15.

Thomson's next home game is at 5 p.m. on March 23 against Glenn Hills.
