Leslie Alison Morris and Alan Keith Chalker, Jr., were united in marriage on Saturday, March 10, 2007, 5 p.m., at 1810 Winery & Vineyard in Thomson. The Honorable Judge Janice Thigpen officiated the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Darwin Morris.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at 1810 Winery & Vineyard. The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia, and they are now residing in Appling.
The bride is the daughter of Darwin and Marcie Morris of Appling. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Rachel M. Whitaker and the late Theron "Bo" Whitaker of Harlem and Mrs. Louise T. Morris and Pierce A. Morris of Appling. She is a graduate of Harlem High School and Augusta State University and is presently a pharmacy technician at the Surrey Center Pharmacy.
The groom is the son of Sandy Bryan and Alan Chalker Sr. He is the grandson of the late Betty Kersey of Warrenton and the late Mrs. Louise J. Chalker and Roger Chalker Sr., of Thomson. He is a graduate of Thomson High School and is presently employed by BellSouth as a service technician.
