Ms. Emma Davis

THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral services with full military honors for retired U.S. Army Veteran Ms. Emma Davis of Thomson, were held on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Springfield Baptist Church, Thomson with Rev. F.D. Favors, Pastor, officiating. Interment was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Davis was a Washington County native and a member of the Springfield Baptist Church and had served for many years as the church clerk, a member of the Mother's Board and Missionary Board. She had retired after serving more than 20 years in the United States Army.

Many precious memories are left to those who survive her: one sister, Ms. Mary Alice Davis of San Antonio, Texas; four brothers, George C. (Eva) Davis of Philadelphia, Pa., W.B. Ramsey of Miami, Fla., Jimmy (Marietta) Ramsey of Albany, Ga. and John (Sandra) Ramsey of Atlanta, Ga.; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Thomson Funeral was in charge of arrangements.
