Ms. Price not only serves patients in McDuffie County, she also travels to Augusta, Louisville, Athens, Milledgeville and McCormick, S.C.
"I enjoy helping people in their homes," said Ms. Price, who has worked as a respiratory therapist for 13 years.
It's like being a member of the family, she said.
"You meet the dogs, the grandkids, and the next door neighbors. It feels like you have 300 extra sets of family."
Ms. Price's compassion and devotion to her patients were qualities that earned her the prestigious award, said Laura Rackliff, location manager.
"She is dedicated to providing for the needs of her patients, and she takes care of them like they are family. In home health care, that has a huge place of importance," she said.
In addition to providing for their needs, Ms. Price believes tracking the progress of patients and communicating with doctors and hospitals is also important.
The Rotech company, which has more than 500 locations, has become a national leader in helping patients manage treatment in their homes by providing products and services including respiratory supplies and medications, home medical equipment and accessories, disease management services and sleep disorder assessment and treatment.
