AUGUSTA, GA. -- Mrs. Annie Belle Tanner Champion, wife of the late Richard Ludlow Champion, entered into rest Wednesday March 16, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital.
Mrs. Champion, was a resident of Augusta since 1977, a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Thomson.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 11 A.M. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel 2524 Lumpkin Rd. with Rev. Billy Atkins officiating. Burial followed at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson, GA.
Mrs. Champion is survived by a son, Richard R. Champion of St. Petersburg, Fla.; daughters, Ann Pollett of Appomattox, Va., and Shirley Franks of Augusta. Also survived by two grandchildren, Pamela Dukes of Appomattox, Va., And Chris Champion of St. Petersburg, Fla. and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Champion was preceded in death by her husband Richard Champion and a grandson David Franks.
