Danny and Kay Harris of Dalton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jill Harris to Josh Hughes of Thomson. He is the son of the Dr. Carroll and Linda Hughes of Thomson.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Agnes Harris and the late Bill Harris and Geraldine Touchstone and the late F.L. Touchstone, all of Dalton.
She is the great-granddaughter of Dorothy Holmes of Dalton. She is the sister of Ashley Harris of Dalton.
Miss Harris obtained a bachelor's of science degree in education in English from the University of Georgia, She is currently employed with Westside Middle School as a teacher.
Mr. Hughes is the grandson of DC and Julia Hughes of Thomson and the late Wilburn and Doris Nash of Washington. He is the brother of Katie Hughes of Thomson and Matt Hughes of Berea, Ky.
The future groom obtained a bachelor's of arts degree in Christianity and political science. He currently attends the McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta.
The wedding is scheduled for June 12 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Dalton, Ga.
