Mr. Walter George Morgan THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. Walter George Morgan, 44, of Thomson, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2004, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larron Pilgrim officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mr. Morgan was a native of Lincolnton, a truck driver and of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Morgan, was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Morgan and Tomie Kathleen Dill Morgan and a brother, Elijah Morgan. He is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Rogers of Thomson; stepson, Brian Thaxton of Norwood; sisters, Nancy Freeland of Washington and Linda Bentley of Lincolnton; a brother, John Morgan of Windsor; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Ronnie Pilgrim, Danny Pilgrim, Ty Sheppard, David Russell, David Thigpen and Clyde Quarles. Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Web posted on Thursday, March 25, 2004
