Dallas to wed McElheney in October ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Richard Komich and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hawes Dallas, of Thomson, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Joy Dallas, to Carson Douglas McElheney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terrell Douglas McElheney, of Atlanta.

Miss Dallas is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Bennett Jones of Wrens, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Alexander Dallas of Lincolnton. She attended The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn., and the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor's degree in speech communications. She currently lives in Atlanta, where she works as project manager for Dan Carithers Design Consultants.

Mr. McElheney is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Hall Carson Goode of Atlanta, Georgia and Mrs. Bernice McElheney Spruill of Colbert, Ga., and the late Mr. John Douglas McElheney of Eatonton, Ga. He attended Woodward Academy and the University of Georgia where he received a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture. He is employed by Alex Smith Garden Design as a landscape architect.

A wedding is planned for October.
