Twelve McDuffie County 4-H'ers returned from the Northeast District Project Achievement competition with honors in their project areas.

Held March 12-14, the district meeting at Rock Eagle 4-H Center was attended by several hundred Junior and Senior (seventh through 12th graders) 4-H'ers from among the counties in the Northeast District.
Local winners and their projects were: first place: Elizabeth Ivey - Better Breakfast; second place: Bryce Phillips - Dairy & Milk Science; Marquez Hill - Physical Biological & Earth Science; third place: Amber Johnson - Health; honorable mention: Amanda Acosta - Workforce Preparation & Career Development; Blake Walters - Dairy Foods; Keturah Jackson - Performing Arts-General; Vannicola Demons - Health; Adrian Dawkins - Wildlife; Myesha Tate - Performing Arts-Vocal; Kanisha Barbour - Performing Arts-Vocal and Taylor Clark - International.
Attending DPA with the 4-H'ers were Kathleen Drayton - McDuffie County Program Assistant, Frank Watson - McDuffie County Extension Coordinator and Caroline Richardson - McDuffie County Extension Agent.
