The boys' and girls' tennis teams have had a rocky start this year.
The girls' team consists of Brooke Usry, Nicole Usry, Tiffany Timmerman, Jenae Miller, Liz Jenkins, Bridgett Jackson, Gloria Rowland, Hope Harrison, Katherine Timmerman, Hanna Poston and Amanda Stewart.
The boys' team consists of Bob Wilson, Billy Brunson, Vontegius Burnett, Steven Parish, Andy Davis, Bob Brunson, Jordan Lewis, McKenzie Cunningham and Scott Jenkins. Both teams have won against Cross Creek and lost against Burke and Richmond Academy (ARC). Coach Chan Drake said that his biggest rival this year has been ARC.
"They are very competitive and they have good strategy," said Coach Drake.
Bob Wilson is number 1 for winning the most number of singles. Coach Drake also wanted to give honorable mention to the Usry sisters, Brooke and Nicole.
"These sisters have helped the team a lot in working hard and putting much forth effort," said Coach Drake.
