Pvt. Justin D. Daniel
Army Pvt. Justin D. Daniel has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus.
During the eight weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
Pvt. Daniel is the son of Daniel Jeffrey of Dearing. The soldier is a 2002 graduate of Thomson High School.
Cpl. Holly McCullough
U. S. Marine Corps Corporal Holly McCullough Howell was recently named "Marine of the Quarter" at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Calif. She was recommended by her Sergeant Major who recognized her for her leadership abilities, a near perfect PFT (Physical Fitness Test) and shooting "Sharpshooter" on the M-16 A2 Service Rifle.
Cpl. Howell is a graduate of Briarwood Academy and attended Augusta State University. She is the daughter of Judith McCullough of Martinez and LaVern McCullough of Warrenton.
