Mr. James E. Stokes THOMSON, Ga. -- Funeral services for Mr. James E. Stokes, 37, of Thomson, were held on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Vanderhost C.M.E. Church, Thomson with the Rev. John W. Smalley, Pastor, officiating. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Shirley Stokes, Thomson; devoted grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Stokes, Thomson; five children, Anthony Stokes, Tiesha Stokes, Antithony Stokes, Octavious Stokes and Juantavious Hatcher, all of Thomson; one granddaughter, two sisters, Lisa Ross, Thomson and Roberta S. Thomas of Augusta; a brother, Willie Stokes, III of Thomson and other relatives and friends. Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements. Web posted on Thursday, March 31, 2005
