Mrs. Margie Beth Stribel

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Margie Beth Stribel, 81, beloved wife of Mr. Gene V. Stribel, formally of Harlem, died Sunday evening March 25, 2007, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in the Second Baptist Church, with Dr. Ron Drawdy officiating. Burial followed in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

A native of Tecumseh, Neb., Mrs. Stribel was a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Gladys Falk Hurlbutt. She lived in Harlem for 33 years before moving to Thomson three months ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stribel was preceded in death by her son, Dale Stribel.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mr. Gene V. Stribel, of Thomson, two daughters, Beth Stribel of Ocklawaha, Fla., and Colleen (Joe) Stribel of Nashville, Tenn., two sons, Terry Stribel of Nashville, Tenn., and John (Regina) Stribel of Thomson, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
