Thomson High School Junior Jerrica Bell has been selected as a finalist in the area of communicative arts (English) for the prestigious Georgia Governor's Honors Program, held annually at Valdosta State University.
Jerrica was nominated by the THS English Department and her current Advanced Placement English Language & Literature teacher Susan Hitt for this honor. She was selected to represent THS by a panel of community members and then advanced to the state competition where she was required to interview with another panel of judges.
