HARLEM, Ga. - Myrtle C. Reece, 68, entered into rest Tuesday March 29, 2006, at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2006, at Silver Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Pitman officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
She was born in Columbia County and was a member of Silver Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Vickie Moon, Harlem, Beverly Kirkland (Andrew), Dearing, Janice Pope (Billy), Norfolk, Virginia, Starlene Bryant (Willie), Harlem; two sons, Ricky Sammons (Betty), Edgehill, and Wayne Reece, Thomson; two brothers, John Washington, Augusta, and Martin Washington, Beech Island, S.C.; one sister, Thelma Owens, Harlem; and grandchildren, Jamie Sammons, Tony Sammons (Melissa), Tiffany Pope, Joshua Pope, Tyler Sammons, Chris Bryant, Ansley Reece, Alicia Reece, Arriana Reece, Savannah Reece; and two great-grandchildren Dakota Evans and Jessica Sammons.
Active pallbearers were Ryan McGahee, Vernon Washington, Terry Washington, James Washington, Larry Washington and George Norris.
Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
