Deacon Lee Earnest Wilcher
THOMSON, Ga. - Homegoing services for Deacon Lee Earnest Wilcher, 73, of Thomson, were held on Saturday April 1, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Stamp Branch Baptist Church, Warrenton, Ga., Rev. Robert Martin, officiating, interment in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Maudie M. Wilcher, Thomson; four sons, Johnny Wilcher, Michael Wilcher, Ronald Wilcher and Ricky Wilcher, all of Augusta; six daughters, Velma (Horace) Taylor, Thomson, Diane (Jimmy) Lott, Norcross, Ga., Shirley Wilcher, Janice Wilcher, Marie Wilcher and Grace (Samuel) Scott of Augusta. Five brothers, Florence (Nellie) Wilcher, Jr., Moses (Barbara) Wilcher all of Thomson, John (Carolyn) Wilcher, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., James (Deidra) Wilcher, John (Denise) Wilcher both of Maryland; five sisters, devoted sister and caregiver, Reola Grant, Mary (James) Cummings, Margie (Bennie) Bently, Vinnie Reese, Thelma Wilcher all of Thomson and Martha (Edward) Vaughn of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 37 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
