Mr. Roy E. May
Retired Farmer

THOMSON, Ga. -- Mr. Roy E. May, 76, of Thomson, entered into rest April 1, 2005 at his residence.

Survivors include his daughters, Sonya May and Nancy Goldman, both of Thomson; brothers, R.T. May of Florida, Emory May of Virginia, Leon May of Thomson, Emile May of Florida; sisters, Virginia Nobles, Milledgeville, Inez Rabun, Thomson, Miriam Usry, Gibson; and four grandchildren, Megan Goldman, Zachary Goldman, Chance Goldman and Dakota Roy Brown.

Mr. May was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County and was the son of the late R.T. May, Sr. and the late Emma Heath Mae. He was retired as a farmer and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. May was also a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the May Family Cemetery with Jim Martin officiating.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
