Mrs. Tabitha Ray Melton
THOMSON, Ga. -- Mrs. Tabitha Ray Melton, 84, widow of Rev. Cleason Melton, died Friday, April 1, 2005, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2005 in the Thomson First Baptist Church with Dr. James C. Elder, Jr. and Dr. James M. Ramsey officiating. Burial was at 3 p.m. Monday in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Hart County.
Mrs. Melton was a native of Hart County. She had moved to Thomson several years ago. She was a retired business educator. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberton.
Survivors include her daughter, Ms. Laverne Melton, Thomson; her son, Mr. Norman R. Melton, Duluth; her brother, Mr. William Ray, Hart Co. and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
