Kelsey Jones, Wesley Walker, David Williams, all members of Troop 125 at the Thomson First United Methodist Church, received the awards on March 21.

Only 2 percent of all scouts become Eagle Scouts. As part of the process, scouts must complete a community service project.

For his Eagle project, Kelsey developed, planned, and gave leadership in the construction of two wheelchair ramps at his church, Pine Grove Baptist Church. Kelsey is the son of Dennis and Cindy Jones and is a junior at Briarwood Academy.

Wesley's Eagle Scout Project involved improvements done to the Max's Outback, the outdoor classroom trail at Maxwell Elementary School. Wesley is the son of Gene and Pam Walker and is a junior at Thomson High School.

David chose to develop, plan, and give leadership in the construction of a walkway at the parsonage of the senior pastor of Thomson First United Methodist Church. David is the son of Ken and Kay Williams and is a freshman at the University of Georgia.
