Mrs. Mary Borders Crain
Retired Paralegal Secretary
THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Mary Borders Crain, 81, widow of Mr. Lewis Crain, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Graveside services were held Sunday, April 4, 2004, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating.
Mrs. Crain was a native of Hancock County and attended schools in Hancock and Warren Counties. She graduated from Warren County High School and attended Tift College, Georgia Southern, and graduated from Athens Business College and Atlanta Law School. She retired from the Norfolk-Southern Railway in June of 1987.
She was preceded in death by E. Paul Borders and C. Reid Borders.
She is survived by Neil Crain, Taylors, S.C., James Borders, Lakemont, Ga., John Borders, Warrenton, Jack B. Borders, Louisville, Ethel B. Harris, Washington, Ga., Lucy B. McCorkle, Thomson and several nieces and nephews.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
