Thomson High School boys' golf team split matches

The last four golf matches for the boys' varsity team at Thomson High School have ended with both a pair of wins and losses.

At Bartram Trail in Columbia County on March 24, the Bulldogs were upended by the Greenbrier Wolf Pack by a score of 159-171. The tournament was a nine-hole affair, according to Thomson Head Coach Chris Hodges.

Thomson golfers participating in the tourney and their posted scores included: Jeff Pagac, 40; Ethan Chamineak, 40; Jesse Ramos, 45; and James English, 46.

The following day, March 25, the Bulldogs hosted the Burke County High Bears from Waynesboro at Belle Meade Country Club near Thomson where they lost again. The final team score in an 18-hole tournament was 306-331.

Those representing the Thomson team and their scores were as follows: Jason English, 81; Ethan Chamineak, 83; Jesse Ramos, 83; and Charlie Barmore, 84.

In another golf tourney played on March 27 at Belle Meade, the Bulldogs posted a victory over the visiting Cross Creek Razorbacks from Augusta. The final score was 164-181. The tourney was a nine-hole affair.

Thomson golfers playing against Cross Creek posted the following scores: English, 40; Ramos, 40; Chamineak, 41; and Matt Stevenson, 43.

Another golf match was played on March 31 with Thomson again finishing as the victors. The win was over Jefferson County's Warriors by a score of 168-181.

Thomson golfers participating in the tourney posted the following scores: Ramos, 40; Chamineak, 42; Pagac, 43; and English, 43.
