The daughter of a Dearing couple has made the Air Force grade.
Tech. Sgt. Kelly Larson has graduated from the Air Force Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Academy at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Fla.
Tech. Sgt. Larson received instruction in advanced military leadership, management theories and responsibilities, oral and written communications skills, and physical fitness fundamentals.
She performed as a supervisor to learn behavior concepts, problem solving, and counseling techniques relative to the Air Force mission and organization.
The sergeant learned to orientate new service members in the principles, practices and tools necessary to function in the Air Force. Tech. Sgt. Larson, a personnel superintendent with 15 years of military service, is assigned to the U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Fla.
Tech. Sgt. Larson is the daughter of James and Linda Fleming of Dearing. Her husband, Robert, is the son of Walter and Erika Larson of Augusta. She is a 1988 graduate of Glenn Hills High School in Augusta.
