Player commends former coach

I would like to thank Mrs. Lisa Cody for all she has done for me through my high school career. Mrs. Cody, you taught me not only how to play softball but how to respect my teammates and others around me.

Through the years, she taught me so much about how to play. I got better as a player because she would drive me to play my best. She always knew I had talent.

As coach of the softball team for three years I played on the team, she taught us one-on-one drills that helped us a lot and made us get through the years. I remember being a freshman on the team, not knowing really what to do; she taught me so much through that time.

I feel the decision that the board (or whoever) has made is a bad mistake. They will regret it in the end. She brought so much excitement to our team and she believed in us so much. She drove us to play our best every time we stepped out on the field. They must not see how great of a coach/teacher she is.

I speak for others and we want to thank Mrs. Cody once again on how good she was to us (her team).

She has our support and also our families' support through this hard time. She is in my and my family's prayers. We hope for the best and wish for the best.

Holly Coleman
