Eighth grade students at Thomson Middle School celebrated the upcoming Spring Break with an Interdisciplinary Project connecting art and mathematics to the Master's Golf tournament.

Students were divided into groups and then designed and "built" a golf hole. The students had to include tee-off locations, water hazards, sand traps, and greens among other features. The activity culminated with the students "playing" a round of golf on the holes designed by their class.

They had to use protractors, angle measurements, and estimation skills to complete the course.
