Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Brown of Thomson are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Jane Elizabeth Brown of Thomson to Mr. Paul Taylor Miller of Chickamauga, Ga. Mr. Miller is the son of Mrs. Merry Miller and Mr. Gary L. Miller both of Chickamauga.
The wedding is planned for 7 p.m. on July 24, 2004, at The First United Methodist Church of Thomson.
Miss Brown graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Valdosta State University in 2002. She has continued her graduate work at Valdosta State University and will graduate in May with a Masters Degree in Communication Disorders. Miss Brown is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jane B. Hawes of Augusta and Ret. Col. Richard E. Hawes of Athens and Mrs. G.W. Brown of Thomson and the late Mr. G.W. Brown.
Mr. Miller graduated from Valdosta State University in December of 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in history. While at Valdosta State, he played on the varsity football team for two years. He is employed by Lee's Bookstore in Valdosta. Mr. Miller is the grandson of Mrs. Rosa Hahn and Mr. Marshall F. Miller both of Chickamauga, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Taylor.
