THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Mary B. Evans, 71, widow of Mr. Gather Evans, of Shiloh Road, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at her residence.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 10, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Garvin officiating. Burial was in Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans was a native of Nashville, Tenn., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Evans Wells and Eva Evans, both of Thomson; a son, Houston Evans, Harlem; two sisters, Vera Wright and Martha L. Brown, both of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Hershel Brewer, Franklin, Tenn.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Sturkey, Adam Sturkey, Tim Brown, Andrew Kirkland, Jeremy Evans and Houston Evans.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
