WAYNESBORO, Ga.- Mrs. Corrine F. Hunter, 81, entered into rest Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at the Burke Medical Center.
She was a life long resident of Burke County. Mrs. Hunter was a retired homemaker and enjoyed rearing her children and grandchildren, gardening and sewing. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 9, 2004, at the DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating. Interment was in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Alexander, Ga.
Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by husband, John Henry Hunter (1961) and son Paul Henry Hunter. Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Nell Hunter Fail, Hephzibah; Lynda Diane Hunter Gay, Waynesboro; Grace Hunter Johnikin, Thomson; four sons, William Herbert Hunter, Grovetown; Floyd Junior Hunter, Waynesboro; Charles Edward Hunter, Keysville; Grady Hunter, Augusta; 2 brothers, Willie and Billy Flakes of Waynesboro. Also survived by half-sister Doris Flakes, Waynesboro and 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Hunter, Charles Hunter, Jr., Grady Hunter, Jr., William Gay Jr., Ernest Fail and Randy Johnikin.
DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
