Mrs. Alexis Noelle Colohan-Cannon Haworth

ST. MARY'S, Ga. - Mrs. Alexis Noelle Colohan-Cannon Haworth, 21, beloved wife of Matthew A. Haworth and beloved daughter of John and Jean Colohan-Cannon, entered into rest on April 6, 2008, at Shand's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

Alexis was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Augusta on February 10, 1987. She was living in St. Mary's, Ga., with her husband, a submariner with the United Stated Navy. Alexis graduated from Lakeside High School in 2005, where she was active in the chorus program; she even traveled to Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando, Fla., to perform with her school. Alexis attended Georgia Southern University and was a junior studying pre-law to hopefully one day follow in her mother's footsteps; however she was taking a year off of school to enjoy being a new wife.

Funeral services were held on Saturday April 12, 2008, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Michael Roverse officiating. Interment was in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Alexis was an amazing woman; to all that knew her she was smart, beautiful, strong and compassionate. She would think nothing of stopping on the side of the road to give someone in need her food or the jacket off her back. She was a gorgeous girl with the most amazing smile, her eyes would twinkle whenever she smiled and was happy. Alexis had a crazy laugh that was so infectious you couldn't help but to laugh along. She had an incredible love for animals and rescued her two "fur-kids" Popeye and Princess.

Alexis was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, "PopPop," Paul M. Colohan, Sr., her maternal aunt, Karen Colohan Cintron Courter and her mother-in-law, Paula Haworth.

Besides her loving husband and parents, Alexis is survived by her maternal grandmother, Virginia "Ginny" Colohan, Martinez; paternal grandparents, John L. and Maria Cannon, Verona, Italy; great grandmother Minne Lee Cannon, Cleveland, Miss.; father-in-law, Lindon Haworth, Jr., Augusta; grandfather-in-law Lindon Haworth, Sr, Clarks Hills, S.C.; brother-in -law and his wife, Joseph and April Haworth, niece Paula R. Haworth, Augusta; Aunts and Uncles: Cindy and James Bessman, Augusta; Paul and Cindy Colohan, Grovetown; Mike and Sue Colohan, Laurel, Md.; Steve and Alicia Colohan, Augusta; Rick and Susan Colohan, Thomson; Kelly and MaryAnn Colohan, Bloomfield, Mich; Anita and Richard Goodis, Augusta. Additionally, 15 first cousins and her "fur-sisters" Tyla and Harley and her "fur-brothers" Angel and Peanut as well as an extensive extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers or gifts the Colohan-Cannon Haworth Family asks that contributions be made to Lexi's Legacy, the Alexis Noelle Colohan-Cannon Haworth Scholarship Fund, c/o P.O. Box 212606 Martinez, GA 30917.

Pallbearers were uncles and cousins.

Platts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
