THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. Georgia Mae Shirley, 56, of Thomson, was held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Greater St. James A.M.E. Church, with the Bishop Winston Grier officiating. Interment was in Society Cemetery in Mesena.
Survivors include a devoted daughter, Diane (Tony) Richards, Thomson; mother, Mary Shelley, Thomson; three grandchildren, Shaketa Richards, Andre Stone and Diamond Stone, all of Thomson; three sisters, Betty Martin, Christine (Robert) Sinkfield, all of Thomson, and Gloria (Alton) Harvey, Macon; two stepsisters, Diane (Joe) McCord and Louise Moss, all of Thomson; five brothers, Willie (Sarah) Shirley, Larry (Velma) Shelley, and Ned Shelley, all of Thomson, John (Geanette) Shelley, Dearing, and Ted Shelley, Macon; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
