Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Saxon of Waynesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Claudia Kate, to Paul Winter Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul G. Cook of Thomson.

The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Waynesboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rose V. Williams and the late Lavern A. Williams and the late Linwood D. and Claudia S. Saxon, all of Waynesboro.
She is a 2002 graduate of Burke County High School and is currently attending Georgia College and State University and will graduate in May 2006 with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education.
She has been a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society for the past four years.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Evelyn B. Langston and the late Hugh L. Langston and the late Jackson B. and Carolyn G. Cook, all of Thomson.
He is a 2000 graduate of Thomson High School and a 2005 graduate of Georgia College and State University with a bachelor's degree in history.
He is currently a youth minister at Hardwick Baptist Church in Hardwick. He plans to attend Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., in the fall.
